Cookie banners and consent management platforms (CMPs) make claims about what they block before a visitor chooses. We load pages in a real browser and record what actually happens: which requests are sent and which cookies are written before any choice is made. Every result carries its date, its method and its limits.
What we measure
Third-party requests and tracking cookies or storage observed before a visitor makes a choice, after "reject all", and after "accept all". We record technical behaviour, not legal compliance.
How we measure
The method was published before any lab result: identical test sites, disclosed configurations, repeated runs on different days, and a right of reply for every vendor. See the methodology.
Why you can rely on it
Vendors do not pay us, sponsor placements, or review or approve our findings. Our former affiliate enrolments and their dates are disclosed in the independence statement.
Coming next: the State of Consent report
Our first lab report, State of Consent, is in preparation. It will test CMPs on identical test sites we control, under the published methodology, with every vendor given its findings and a right of reply before publication.

We also run a private scanner for verified site owners, currently by invitation only. It reports technical observations only, never legal advice or a compliance verdict.
